Knot Now

Hi friends,

Yesterday I started off with a one-strand pretzel knot on one side, brought it over into a two-strand rosette knot on the other side, made a third knot at the bottom, then a low bun.  An easy updo that doesn't require braiding :-)

A hibiscus in our yard had the most unusual two-in-one flower, and it just matched my dress!

Teardrop Part Updo

Thank you so much for your kind comments and views!  I hope that you are having a lovely week so far.  Yesterday I fixed my hair in this teardrop style part with two lace braids and a fancy bun.  A fun, pretty look that doesn't take much time!

 

 

Micronesian Girl~ Rope Braid Updo

Hello everyone,

I've been away from home this week, literally on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific.  I'll post a few scenery pictures below, but first here are some cute pictures of my little Micronesian friend.  So pretty!  This hairstyle is based on a look in the excellent braid book A Different Approach to Hairbraiding by Raychel Potter.  As always, thank you for coming to see my pictures!

Braid Waves

Hello friends,

Thanks so much for stopping by!  After wearing my French braids for two days, I let my hair down this morning to admire the braid waves.  Here are some pictures to share with you :-)

Fun with French Braids

It was raining this morning, so I had some extra time to fix my hair before heading out the door.  I started at one side and worked my way across, separating sections of hair and making small French braids.  Here are the results :-)
