Horizon Braided Bun

Hello friends!

My updo for today looked like horizontal lines, so I'll call it my "horizon bun."  I made the mohawk Dutch braid and side English braids first, then put my hair in a high ponytail.  I clipped the bottom of my ponytail to the back of my head, and wrapped the rest of my hair around the clip and the ponytail base.  It had a layered look when I was done.  Thank you for following my blog!  I'm excited to see us slowly getting closer to 300,000 pageviews!

Thank you for clicking to view my new pictures!  Yesterday I made two small Dutch braids on the sides, but left my hair smooth in the center.  A Dutch braid version of one of the most popular looks ever on my page~ the Mohawk/Side French braids up-do.

Another simple hairstyle~ today I made a Dutch braid on one side and a French braid on the other.  I wrapped both braid ends into a side bun and was ready to start my day!

Hello everybody,

Today my friend wore her hair in the most perfect cornrows, and they had lasted since yesterday which is an extra bonus!  I love it when a braid still looks as great the second day :-)

Teardrop Part

Hi friends,

Yesterday I tried parting my hair in a new way that I learned from my book, called a Teardrop.  First you section off hair for a hairband braid.  Then you Dutch lace braid the hair directly behind your hairband section, from behind one ear all the way across to your other ear.  When that braid is finished, you braid the hairband section in the opposite direction.  I had accidentally left out a tiny section of hair, so I turned it into an accent piece.
