Mini-Braids & Wavy Bun

Hi everybody,

Thanks for stopping by to see how I fixed my hair today :-) As you can tell from previous posts, I love accent braids! Someone asked how I manage to hold my hair up with my hair clips~ I usually put my hair in a ponytail first, then make my bun. That is how I created my look for today. And my hair clips are from a Ross store in America, in case you are wondering where I got them. I also by a lot of hair clips (mostly the jeweled ones) here on my island.

Swirl Braids

I'm so glad that you have enjoyed seeing a few pictures from my trip.  You can see that we had a wonderful time!  Now for a few hair-do pictures~ a few days ago I tried this swirly-lace braid updo, and thought it turned out rather interesting.  The bun is a rose bun with the two lace braids wrapped around it.  I put the clip in early, before I finished winding up my hair into a bun.  This helps hold my hair in place even more securely, I've noticed, especially when the clip is kind of small to hold a lot of hair.  The first pictures were taken with a flash, and the last couple of pictures were taken without a flash.

Half-Updo French Braid

Hello friends,

This may be my last post for a week~ I am going on a trip to the outer islands tomorrow and won't be back home until next Saturday!  I can't wait to post pictures of my adventure (and hopefully some tropical hair photos as well :-)

A few days ago I tried this half-updo hairstyle~ first I made a diagonal part, and put the lower half of my hair into a ponytail.  Then I made a French braid with the upper half.  I braided the end of my French braid and my ponytail into a rope braid, and wrapped the rope braid into a bun which I held in place with a clip on one side.  A very easy yet pretty hair-do <3

Today I did something I don't usually do~ I washed my hair this morning rather than at night.  Since my hair did not have much time to air-dry, it was still wet when I fixed it in this simple hairstyle.  First I made a sideways lace braid, and then I put my hair into a low ponytail and made a rose bun (a rope braid wrapped up into a bun).  Pictures :-)

Flower Updo

My mom gave me this beautiful flower headband, so I used it as an accent to a double rose bun.  I love this look!
