My look for today~ Wavy French braid and a side bun

Hello friends,

Today was a bright, sunny day in the islands~ I wanted a hairstyle that was pretty and fast, so I made a zig-zag French braid and a side bun.  The zig-zag effect did not show up in the end result, but the French braid had a nice wavy look to it and was off to one side.  I was satisfied :-)

The pink and yellow Micronesian ginger in our yard bloomed perfectly this morning~ such a lovely sight (and fragrance!)

Fancy Multi-Braids Ponytail

Hello friends, 

Finally, a new hairstyle!  Today I made Dutch lace braids on the sides, then put the rest of my hair into a center ponytail.  I braided my ponytail into two rope braids, then I looped all four braids up several times and held them in place with two matching clips.  Here are some pictures of this hairstyle in the morning sun~ thank you for looking!

 

 

 

Micronesian Girl~ Zig-Zag Lace Braid Updo

Hey everybody,

On my trip, I tried my hand at braiding a friend's hair~ she looked cute with this American hairstyle :-)  It is a lace braid that I started in the top corner and zig-zagged all the way down to a low bun held in place with a comb.  Thanks for stopping by to see our pictures!

Swirl Braids

Hello everyone,

I'm so glad that you have enjoyed seeing a few pictures from my trip.  You can see that we had a wonderful time!  Now for a few hair-do pictures~ a few days ago I tried this swirly-lace braid updo, and thought it turned out rather interesting.  The bun is a rose bun with the two lace braids wrapped around it.  I put the clip in early, before I finished winding up my hair into a bun.  This helps hold my hair in place even more securely, I've noticed, especially when the clip is kind of small to hold a lot of hair.  The first pictures were taken with a flash, and the last couple of pictures were taken without a flash.

Beautiful Micronesia~ Paradise in the Western Pacific

Hello everyone!

I'm back from my trip, as you see.  What an amazing adventure!  Here are a few pictures I took from the ship and on the different islands we visited.  The ocean was as calm as glass, and dolphins kept swimming alongside the ship and performed tricks for us, much to our delight!  The island scenery was prettier than any postcard, just as clean and beautiful as when God first made this lovely, isolated part of the world.
