Hi friends,
This little angel had the cutest hairstyle~ a perfect four-corner part with tight little blue-black braids. She is such a sweetie, and very excited to have her pictures taken for our blog :-)

Braided Updo w/ Blue Jewel Clips
Hi friends,
My internet has been down for a few days so I have several hairstyle posts backed up~ here are some pictures of a braided updo, made with four accent braids and a sideways French braid. I put the length of my French braid into a bun, held in place with matching hairclips.
I much prefer hairclips to bobby pins!

Loose Low Bun w/ Flower Headband
Hi friends,
After my 5-strand braid, this look seems super-simple and easy! It was my hairstyle for today, just two braids wrapped together into a low bun with a headband added for effect. I love flower headbands!
Thanks so much for coming by to view my post!

5-Strand French Braid
I did it! I finally managed to do a five-strand French braid on myself! It was not as hard as I thought it would be, once I got the over-under-over-under pattern down. The key to adding hair is: start braiding right-to-left. Add hair to the outmost right strand, weave it over-under-over, then hold those sections in place with your right hand while you add hair to the outmost left strand. Then with the fingers on your left hand, manage to twist the outmost left strand up and over, so that the original section is "underneath" this outmost left strand and your o-u-o-u pattern is complete. Then you start all over again from the right side. Hopefully this explanation makes sense~ now for some pictures :-)

Woven Palm Branch Braid (aka Ladder Braid)
Hello from the tropics!
Today I made what most folks call a ladder braid, with a waterfall braid and lace braid combined. But since I live on a tropical island, I changed the name to match my surroundings :-) It's true that this braid resembles very closely a woven palm branch~
